This bone conduction assistive listening devise is targeted for people with slight to medium level of hearing difficulty or hard of hearing due to aging. Unlike conventional hearing aid, Kikuchan, with our proprietary bone conduction speaker (patented), converts voiced signal into vibration and sends it directly to the inner ear by means of bone conduction. Since it picks up no other sound, Kikuchan causes no stress to the user. * This product may not prove effective for all people. 2) Use of bone conduction speaker that does not cover both ears. To hear sound, hold the bone conduction speaker gently against the temple. Since it does not block your ears, Kikuchan is comfortable even in long hour usage. 3) Allow the user to focus on the sound he/she needs to hear Conventional hearing aid picks up every sounds that reaches the ear, but Kikuchan picks the voiced sound in front of the speaker's mouth. Interfering background noise is less likely to enter and the user is able to focus on conversation. 4) Single KIKUCHAN can assist the user in three different ways: in conversation, Television viewing and telephone. First, Kikuchan can be hand held during conversation or operated hands free with the use of our optional Headset HG24. Secondly, Kikuchan connected to the television allow the user to enjoy program with other family member under same volume. Third, conversation on the telephone is made easier. * No ear phone plug is needed. 5) KIKUCHAN is light, compact and easy to operate. Kikuchan is light, compact and conveniently hand carried, and very easy to operate. It has build in chargeable lithium ion battery with life time of approximately ten hours. * The battery life changes depending on the operating condition. The product is usable during battery charging. 6) May be used as communication tool in public place Unlike conventional hearing aid, Kikuchan can be used by anyone; therefore, for example, it can be placed at the window of public institution or bank to be let to the visitor withhearing difficulty. Also, people who are (for example family member, friends, doctor and nurses) more likely to come in contact with a person with hearing difficulty can obtain Kikuchan and have it available for smooth communication. |
